That's equivalent to asking if the moon is round. Well, yes it is, but not exactly. More like an oblate spheroid, but not exactly. More like an radially distended equatorially squeezed pseudo spheroid, but not exactly. When you walk along a path on the moon and you leave sticks along the way in a straight line so that at the end you can line them up by eye to the distant beginning, from space it looks like a giant curve. Do you get my drift?
