One of the things that I find annoying about Herbie's piece is that he attempts to make the fact that Ancor is shipping a product that hasn't been formally "announced" into something sinister. I wish I had a share of Ancor stock for every new product press release that I have read that says "this product is currently shipping" or "this product is available immediately" etc. I can't believe that he focused on something so inane.

The other thing I found interesting was Reyes claim that Brocade doesn't recognize revenue until the OEM ships the product. That is VERY unusual. That implies that the OEM has taken the product on consignment.

Am I off base here?

Ed,

<<Why don't we just send the switch over to Brocade and you can test it and announce the results- Quicker and
cheaper.<G>>>

That was my first reaction. KeyLabs' credibility just went down the drain. If there are going to be head to head independent tests (besides OEM private labs), it has to be in a neutral zone and make sure everybody in the world knows all the parameters that they are being tested. Some university would be a good choice.
