And you only require a DD the has 1/2 the cap that is available??? What do you think Mom & Pop Jones will need? They need whatever DELL or CPQ will stuff in the box and that's whatever is cheap and/or will increase margins, not what will make the DD sector money. Remember, large GMs are made on bleeding edge products that we "gotta have now!!" IMO that situation is starting to fade and it worries me. todd BTW, I've got an 8GB DD in my laptop, and I haven't really needed much more lately - mainly because I back everything up on CD because I don't trust the dang drive. CDs are too convenient. And that is another problem.
