HLIT - 10/15 - stock split 2:1. biz.yahoo.com 10/20 reported record earnings biz.yahoo.com 10/22 - downgraded by Towbin biz.yahoo.com 10/27 - announces to buy CUBE (Divicom) for 1.7 billion cbs.marketwatch.com Some people "appear" not to like the stock dilution that goes with the stock split and the acquisition of Divicom(as if it's something new to the Nets). IMO they just wanted to get in cheaper... 10/28 - lo and behold! Towbin changed their minds: biz.yahoo.com There are a lot of other opinions on this deal as you may suspect which drove it from almost 77 1/2 on 10/21 (after the earnings report and a 2:1 split) to 47 today... IMO it's just a way for some people to make some quick bucks.
