Harmonic Chief Financial Officer Robin Dickson told Dow Jones Newswires he has talked with investors since the announcement of the proposed Divicom acquisition and he's noticed that Divicom is "not terribly well understood."

ROFLMAO. 5-10% accretive without taking into account synergies between HLIT and Divicom!

Oh man, I am either missing something completely, or this is one of the worst reads I have ever seen the Street make.

(Hoping for the latter.)

If Divicom is not well understood, then HLIT's CFO Dickson didn't help much with his explanation:

Divicom 's business, on the other hand, has been concentrated on "massaging the content" of signals, such as providing compression that allows more information to be carried over a certain amount of bandwidth, according to Dickson.

Now do you understand Divicom's biz? Massage that content.

What they should have done is do it for a set $$$ value(duhhhh!!!)

....and then adjust the shares based on price and conversion ratio near the close of the deal,, say the avg closing price the week before the deal closing, etc.

of course...they make MPEG2 chip, so they are not that $$$ smart..jesus @$@!$ !!

And I've got all of my hair on the floor as proof. FUCKING asshole analysts. These FUCKS get paid a butt load of money to do exactly what these guys said they didn't have time to do today. Un-fucking-believable!!!!! Get your sorry asses informed. This is real money here. Get off the links and, wait, I've got it, read about five hundred of these posts and that should be a good start for, at minimum, a superficial understanding of CUBE/Divicom.

I hate Erika Klauer.
