Yeah, the same administration (Clinton) that sent a bunch of Harvard Business School economists to Russia to "show them the way to become a powerhouse of capitalism"! And what happened? -- the gangsters there just laughed and took the money! <g>
DIPY: The erstwhile communists have not adjusted to democracy yet and so still exhibit predatory & primitive behavior. But they are intelligent and technologically advanced militarily. It is different in India. 99% of Indians grew up in India for the past few hundred years without seeing a British. Those Indians never lost their independent mind, no matter who ruled them. So as Clinton says, we are ready, willing, wanting and able to be a high-tech power house.

When Rational quoted " India is "emerging high-tech superpower," says Clinton Administration., I believe it. You can believe what you want.

What's the problem with you? Aren't you keeping up with the news? Watch the Congressional deliberations on South Asia before blabbering here.

Even the diehard opponents of India from the Republican party want the Administration to establish a "strategic friendship" with India and to get into real action not simply keep talking. The world opinion about India is changing fast as an emerging technological power, while you are still mired in the fecal gutters of India, unfortunately. Only an old ISI-type Pakistani will behave like you. Even Musharaff is changing his views about India, and is aspiring to emulate India's success after figuring out a way out of the Pak Army's 52-year old failed policy of hatred towards India.
