DlphcOracl, Yes we all relate to your story. We have all been frustrated like that at one time or another. Now pick a time when your mourning is over, shake yourself off, get back in the saddle and make a new plan. Surely you have other issues that help to cancel out such losses on good days. . [I felt like that yesterday with HRBC.]

You provide this thread with some terrific due diligence and we are all indebted to you for various stocks you have brought to our attention. You will do fine.

Best wishes on further trades. . .

Believe We all here have been there and done that, listen To Rande He is a good teacher and a strong person who rolls with the occasional punch. I had a small paper loss by jumping in CTIX a little too early, remember it's not a loss until You sell it. Good luck.

I hate when that happens...cut fingers...

What is the best way to determine when lock-up shares will be released?

The market punishes! And it will always move in the way that will exact the most pain from the greatest number of players. Funny how that happens. I've been trying to get myself in balance with that for a long time. I've made a lot progress, but I realize and have accepted the fact that I am always well able to suffer pain here at any time. We are all subject to this and not a one of us escapes it.

Earlier this month, I was thinking to myself what on earth have I done wrong. 9 out of 10 of my holdings are losers! But I stuck to my guns and did not sell for losses like I did last October in '98. Guess what - it's paid off with great reward and I've sold the losers for profit (guess that makes them winners). My biggest problem issue right now is Unisys. I am still expecting it to come back, but having gotten in so deep, it is very tough to watch this issue languish as it's done. I refuse to sell at a loss because I know the shares are worth more than the market values them right now. But man... talk about the proverbial "catching a falling knife"... whew... I'm learning from my mistakes, but my point is that sometimes there is absolutely nothing, using logic and reasoning, that could have been done to make the play any better - it's just the market exacting its due share of pain from me again.

Best of luck,
KevinT
