Isn't the wild card in WTO negotiations now devaluation? The West doesn't want another round of SE Asia turmoil. China has a growing need to devalue after keeping their word for two years not to do so. We have to assume that US negotiators are well aware of the stakes and that they can knock some sense into the pols.
