Hi Paul Engel; You really should try to take a look at your posts from the point of view of someone else. To you, the actions of 16 years ago must seem like yesterday. To today's kids, what AMD's stock price was back in the 70s is ancient history. No more important than Vietnam or Korea. Haven't you noticed that the intelligent posters ignore you? Why do you think that is the case? It has always been the case that the older generation looks back on its days of glory and pretty much ignores the present. And hey! I've got a lot of respect for your willingness to spend time with the lowlifes on this thread! You must really have to hold your nose to be willing to spend time trying to educate people as unimportant as the ones who post and read this thread! Once, you were an important person, someone who people listened to. Now, all you are is the Silicon Investor equivalent of a guy trying to feed pieces of bread to the pigeons, and working hard at keeping the squirrels from getting their share. I guess the problem with retirement is too much time on your hands. There was some wise philosopher who once said that the main problem in life is trying to find something to fill up all that time between when we are born and when we die. Once, you had an important job to do, but that is now in the past. It is gone forever, and will not return. When I get old, I'm going to retire in a place where I can play chess with the other oldsters, and watch the world go on about me. I certainly won't be spending my golden years typing on a terminal for the benefit of people who really don't want to hear my stories from a golden age. -- Carl
