My hats off to AB - this was a GREAT DEAL FOR SHAREHOLDERS. Give the market a chance to educate itself - which it will - and that "education process" is precisely why they wait till March to close the deal (it probably will be academic at that point because HLIT will be gone). By the way, CUBE/HLIT is an "arbs" dream for the next couple of months.

FredE, trust me, we don't want a floor on this deal because we don't want the ceiling.

The trading in Cube today seems really strange.

I do not buy the assumption that Cube semiconductor is being discounted, considering the rally in semiconductors in particular and tech stocks in general. The semi division should be rallying today just based on normal trading.

As for the trading in Harmonic and Cube based on the exchange ratio, we should expect trading to deviate some from this ratio to account for the risk involved in the deal not going through. The question: why is the deviation so large?
