I was perusing the Global Crossing GBLX earnings release from yesterday and I saw this line about their Frontier division: "Joined forces with Lucent and Sonus to build the industry's first carrier class Voice-over-IP (VOIP) network. Trials of this technology are underway, with large-scale deployment planned during 2000."

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't LVLT the first fiber network builder to undertake the building of a Voice over IP network? As a newbie to this industry I want to make sure I understand correctly that when GBLX and LVLT talk about building Voice over IP networks, they are talking about the same thing.
