OT sort of: Intel developing new integrated chip

For the first time, Intel on Thursday acknowledged the existence of a new integrated processor, code-named "Timna."

"Timna is essentially our first PC on a chip," said Paul Otellini, Intel's executive vice president and general manager of the Intel Architecture Business Group.

A Timna processor integrates a CPU core with graphics and memory controllers, allowing for it to be used in very low-cost PCs and likely in appliance-like devices as well.

Hmmm. Sounds like a market for wireless.

Bob Craig. On JDSU IP. I have been following JDSU since spring 1998 when it was Uniphase. One thing I recall is that Uniphase was formed with a pool of IP provided initially by several companies including, I believe, Philips. However, one thing I have never seen is a summary of their IP strength. Supposedly they do have the only approved optical repeat/amp for under thr ocean optical cables. Have you seen a summary of their IP strengths/weaknesses?

To Bob, or any prudent investor who also uses options:
I sold my Nov calls with a 45% profit, perfectly happy with that in 2 weeks, because I dont like to "not give enough time" for ups and downs.
But I have Jan calls and I cant decide what to do: we are now approaching (if we arent actually in) the big upward time in the market. Thats a pro.(for keeping the calls until Jan)
Q is great Thats a pro.
But earnings is next week and often it is better not to hold through earnings. Thats a con.
But look at jdsu...they went UP substantially after earnings.
Any ideas and reasons for selling/keeping Jan calls for a couple more months?
