Why so? You spoke of the "independent minds" of India. If so, how come your railways, your roads and your courts haven't changed much from whatever the British left behind?

A little piece of information, my black-sheep brother:
The British -The epitome is that growling bull-dog face churlish chumping chimp-face cigar-chomping Churchill - built the railways and roads not for the benefit of Indians, but for rapid deployment of troops.
Don?t tell us about roads, bathtubs, city layout etc. We laid out all those things in ancient India, when others were still jumping from trees to trees.. The Mughals and the Europeans came and robbed the country for hundreds of years and so all the wealth is gone. 50 yrs in the life of a nation is a milestone. Just remember the plague and the small pox epidemics in London not long ago.. In ancient India , justice system was pretty good.. The only thing the british taught us is English. We would have learnt it anyway. If it is not for Sanskrit , the mother of all tongues, you will still be talking in hand signals. Just you wite, Mr Higgins.
