Peter, I have used variations of the same thing

My problem has always been where to place a stop after entry when these extremes are reached -- because from time to time we can have very skewed readings which last a while.

How do you approach the question of where to place a stop?

i was reading a fancy article about 'exhaustion' moves last night, either stocks+comm or futures
compaison on different time charts,day/60/15/5 etc....
your simple post puts the author to shame
less words, clean and understandable
regards,
ynot :)

Re: "Scott, i think i mentioned some time back, that when the distance between the 300 ma and the current price exceeded 45 points ..."

Is that on the hourly chart (i.e., the 300-hour ma)?

Thanks,
