Anyone know if AMAT has enough shares to authorize a split? And if they do, as a reminder, the aftermath of the past two splits was damn awful(and I should know.)

Of course I remember you. But I strenuously deny that I am always even-tempered! <g> For example, see my replies to Skeeter earlier this year on the Novellus thread when he tried to claim that they were a "non-cash-flow business" because of their secondary offering.

But thanks for the kind words, nevertheless, and thanks for bringing me up to speed on the history. If his behavior was as described, I can see how people might get a bit hot about it. But if "the end is nigh" is his opinion, why shouldn't he say so?
