John, I have the opinion that internet access via hand held device is going to be limited to things where high data rates aren't required: e.g. stock quotes, sports, weather, news headlines, e-mail. I believe G* data rates s/b compatible with or easily upgradeable to that sort of application. Web browsing, imo, won't be done on such devices, anyway not with much pleasure, and anyway I don't believe TDesic, Skybridge or other satbased solutions have that kind of application in mind. I understand they will both require pretty substantial user terminals, not something you can carry around in a pocket. bwdik Have a good weekend, RS
