You may have read things into my post I didn't intend. That said, I think we may disagree about a few things:

> the DOJ did not prove harm to the consumer

This is a judgement on "superficial histrionics", isn't it? <g> I'm no legal expert, so I'll withhold any legal judgement. This judge certainly seems to believe Justice, FWIW.

> the judge is a fool

Sleepy and ill-informed about technology, but no fool, IMO.

> unaware of what has been going on in the marketplace

As were all the lawyers on both sides, and many of the 'expert' witnesses. Them's the breaks. If I were long MSFT, I'd be grateful; awareness would have put 'em down in '95.

> 39 million shares..purchased by yet another kind of fool

That word. I bought DJX puts Friday in anticipation of MSFT being added to the index. Too bad it's not cap-weighted.

> clueless financial/computer media outfit

Thanks. <g>

The release of the FOF likely will impact the stock price, and I have a pecuniary interest in the price's movement. An accurate analysis of both the Findings and the market's reaction is important to me.
