Dellman, your patience is most impressive! I was in AMAT a few years ago when it made that stunning run, but passed on the current ride. Speaking of comps, here's the two since the lows of last Oct. A little surprising?

And let's not forget that dividend!

RE " If it would be keeping up with AMAT, it would be around $63."

I guess it all depends at which point you want to start
your comparison. I have followed AMAT and HELX for quite some time and what you say is true about HELX vs. AMAT
price performance, BUT, this can be attributed to the 1996
downturn when HELX didn't actually go down nearly as far
as it should have relative to the rest of the sector on
a price/sales, or price/last cycle earnings, because of
what at the time was a very high dividend yield. The
dividend was not cut during that downturn and it
successfully supported the stock. As we all know , the
dividend was cut this last downturn (late 98), and the
stock price sank in anticipation. If you look at AMAT
vs. HELX currently on a price/sales, or price/future earnings, HELX is not undervalued.
