going into comdex last year there were 1,900,000 shorts. a month or so later the share price was up 50 points and shorts had decreased to 1,100,000. the big news was rmbs would be used...big deal...everyone knew that. but 800,000 shorts covered.

this time going into comdex we have 7,500,000 shorts, an increase of 5,600,000. the news is the top 5 pc makers are going to start selling rambus pc's in 2 weeks. that is a huge deal. and sony has confirmed that playstation II will use rambus...sony expects to sell 2,000,000 units per month...even intel acknowledged sony will be stiff competition for them.

i was thinking...what if a lot or even all of the fud was put out by clever longs sucking in short sellers...and all the while, the longs are buying shares cheap.

think about this...one month ago, the last day of september, rmbs was at 66 1/4.
yesterday, rmbs was at 67 5/8.
yet the short position has increased by over 2,000,000 shares in one month. now the $64,000 question.

who bought the shares and why? what do the buyers know?

shorts dumped 2,000,000 (over 10% of the float) shares into the market and the price went up.
now short selling is over...there are no more shares to short.
who would sell rmbs now that pc's with rdram are here.
i am convinced a mass media blitz is about to begin...we got a taste of it...a few weeks ago.
the benchmark tests clearly demonstrate rmbs advantages.
dell says they will switch 50% to rdram next year.
the top 5 pc makers are about to begin selling rambus pc's.

this may be the biggest bull trap in history.

edit.....my oh my...look at that...i got three 3's again
