"I sold Sonus for a miniscule profit, and reinvested the $20K into a company I had been watching, and which had just been declared a Gorilla on this new thread I had been following. That night, they reported their prodigious earnings surprise to the upside, and the next day, the stock went up $55."

Wait a minute, let me get this right: you made your first investment in Q the day of the big earnings announcement, and picked up a 55 point gain within 24 hours of getting in? Harrumph harrumph...and people accuse me of bragging...

PS it's not fair. My story had me losing money....and not getting into Q til it was bloody near Main Street....harrumph again.

Apollo, thanks for the "lessons learned" story. It is amazing how the shared resources of this thread clarify ones thinking and long term strategies.

Speaking of strategies, FanQ, if you are listening, and I know you are, if the information on your computer points to a short term sell on Q, I will personally reload all of your software and run a complete set of diagnostics, as Stan provides with mind altering drugs, because something is wrong with your computer or your head. <g>

Your new mantra: "Gorilla investing is a long term strategy which will result in unimaginable rewards impossible to attain through market timing."

>>Don't dick around trying to time the Q.<<

Hey, Apollo, do you have a copyright on that? We might want to print it on a tee shirt or bumper sticker or something. <g>
