Dear Nancy, I hope you and your sons will have a great day! They grow up so fast. Enjoy every happy moment you can. My kids are good about keeping in touch, and they really are great people who enjoyed many happy times growing up. They're on the career track and doing very well. I miss seeing them on a daily basis though. My daughter lives about 20 miles from me and we meet for lunch about once a week. I really enjoy these times. Since my son moved to Illinois to finish his M.D. studies, I miss him a lot. But he and his wife have a personal website and they update it whenever they take a roll of film. This means more to me than they will ever know. At least, until they are the parents of adult children. I try to always count my blessings that my kids are respectful, self-sufficient, well-balanced people. I've been told that most mothers go through the "Empty nest syndrome". And I find great comfort in the fact that my children know the Lord.

The Lords Blessings to you and your family!!!, Colleen

Nancy, I hope, in my remarks about halloween, that I was adamantly against children having this opportunity to dress up and get a little candy. My main target was the adults who use this day as an excuse to throw wild parties that, quite often, get out of hand. The children have not had the opportunity to learn or care what witchcraft is and think more on the order of Samantha on "Bewitched".
