No. My argument is that because of Intel's crappy handling of the market and execution the dramurai are pissed. They would love to use any alternative that is viable. If none materializes then Rambus will succeed, but the impetus that Rambus once had, died with this last delay. Now we've have a show me before I believe you again mentality out there.

In addition, Intel is no longer in the driver's seat primarily because no one trusts them to make things happen. When Intel can't even get their act together on the damn chipset when the actual technology (ie Rambus) works, that makes them lose a tremendous amount of credibility. If you don't believe me, take a look at Dell's cautious posture now. They are the most notorious Wintel platform around. Now they are balking a bit. Don't you take that as a sign that momentum has slipped? I do. Now is the time for a competing DRAM to make it's claim to available market share. Will that happen? Who knows, but in the abscence of that Rambus will succeed by default in the long run (I know I am stating the obvious).
