OT- or not? Scott, DCH Technologies(OTCBB DCHT) produces what may well be a "disruptive" technology in hydrogen safety sensors. While they have a licensing agreement from Los Alamos Nat. Labs for an interesting circular fuel cell with possible advantages such as smaller size and relative ease of mass production(not surprisingly, could be awhile if ever), the sensor products(also licensed from and patented by various Nat. Labs) are said to be the first real advancement in hydrogen sensors in some decades(?). Near as I can tell, that's right. If fuel cells continue attracting R&D interest, I might expect these guys may gain sensor sales of some significance prior even to commercial viability of Fuel Cells in general. Very speculative, as are all FC companies, obviouslyIMO, yet here's a "supplier" and safety play that could boom before the market for FC's itself booms. Current users of their first sensor product include NASA(it rode the shuttle and is a planned part of rockets in development), GM, Westinghouse(installed them in a Russian nuke), Ballard, Allied Signal(who also manufactures them for DCHT), and others. Much of the current use of these sensors appears to be for evaluation purposes, to date. Here's DCHT president David Habermans bio., as per the Dept.O.Energy, from it's Hydrogen Technology Advisory Panel on the web. eren.doe.gov "...Mr. Haberman was asked to join HTAP to represent the perspectives of commercial technology products developers and safety engineers." I believe that this H2O Steve whom John mentioned owns lots of shares- many of them paid to him by the company for purposes other than spamming these boards, but lo, he does something akin in many minds to spamming, a lot(Bad Rep.)! However, I think he's irrelevant to the possibilities. Oh yes, this reasoning causes me to own a modest 3000 shares now. Currently trading at around 60 cents(my average cost $.70 something, :^I) Dan B
