3Com & Qcom.

There is a post on Raging Bull's 3Com board by runsbatted that also posts on the QCOM board about a pending 3Com / QCOM relationship. Here it is:

"3COM is in a deal that will buy QCOM hand held unit along with that they will sign a 9 year pact that will put CDMA in all of 3COMS mobile units. This will boost both companies to new heights."

This sounds implausible. On the other hand, 3Com does have lots of cash (more than $2.5 billion in cash and investments), and evolving its Palm PDA to a PDA that can also double as a mobile phone does make sense.
