Mardy: Hey for an "Expert on Absolutely Nuthin'...." you certainly seem like one to me. But then, what do I know? Chuckle. If that is not an "expert" opinion, it is certainly a well informed one backed up carefully with facts and technical info. Thanks. I will look further into Wi-Lan. Seems interesting. Any company which acts at all like the Q and is in a related wireless field is interesting to me. Best. Chaz

Marden - FWIW, I did a brief scan of the Wi-Lan patent on MC-CDMA, and it looks like it actually has meat. As you probably know I am a tough critic, so this is a good thing - most patents flunk this test, since they are either incremental improvements or completely worthless. But, in keeping with my reputation, I'll point out that I need to do substantially more work even in the 'meat' area and there are several other things that I still don't know:

1) Does it work in the real world, and to what extent?

2) Is it original?

3) Have they covered all the bases?

Just FYI.
