Go back and read my post 46753. Forget " skyrocket " it is relative whether it Skyrockets or goes up like a Glacier. The point is as long as your stock appreciates more than your Calls you are still making money while being covered against unknown contingencies.

Yes, certainly you are better off if you were not covered and the stock zoomed to 250, but we don't know that do we? That is the reason I write them.

Yes you lost about $9,500 on your calls but your stock went up say about $27,000. Now do you see that even though you were covered, you made money, this is based on a thousand shares.
