sec.gov.

The stocks allegedly promoted by the three men at Meyers Pollock were considerably more substantial than the shell companies that were foisted on investors in the penny-stock era. Aside from Multi-Media Tutorial and Aquagenix, there were NuMed Home Health Care Inc., an Ohio-based home-care company, and American Resources International of Delaware, an energy exploration company. Others included Protosource Corp. and Grace Development, which is headed by Ruge. (In November, 1996, Ruge was arrested in an FBI sting, accused of attempting to bribe an undercover agent who was posing as a stockbroker. Bachner says Ruge is vigorously contesting the charges.) Officials of Aquagenix, NuMed, and Protosource denied knowledge of the promotion of their stock at Meyers Pollock, while officials of the other companies could not be reached.

Interesting Business Week article about "chop stocks" and the mob in penny stocks. Old story, but still applies.

I did a bit of poking around in the Charter for March Leasing that has Alain Chalem's name on it. I think it is the same Albert Alain Chalem. March Leasing is a car rental company. Possibly related to the fact that he had so many cars. I note that the firm that he used has a lawyer admitted in NJ. While Lawrence Rutstein served as President, Alain was the sole Director. As of right now I would say they will have difficulty having a Board of Director's meeting.

From the Florida Corporations site:

Here's the AS Goldmen BD-Y2K filed with the SEC:
sec.gov

Interesting to note that they budgeted less than $1000 last year and this year to address the problem. Thankfully they didn't check the box that says they had someone working on it full time.

The document was submitted by Stuart Winkler, from Red Bank New Jersey.

Re: Logan (continued) -- The Logan, Chalem, Scarola connection

We have already established the link with Logan to DTOX [1]. DTOX has offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Miami Beach, and New York City [2]. Recall that the home Chalem and Lehmann were found murdered in belonged to "Russell Candela of Brooklyn and Easthampton, N.Y., the father of Chalem's girlfriend..." (Kimberly Scarola) and that "Ms. Scarola had gone to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., several days before the bodies were found. Her son, Jeffrey, was with her ex-husband, Kaye said." [3].

A few days later we find this interesting piece of news on Ms. Scarola:

Records also indicate Chalem set up his girlfriend, Kimberly Scarola, 29, in a medical company that sells drug detox services to hospitals in Los Angeles, Chicago and Colorado[4].

Might this medical company have been DTOX?!
