Hey thanks for the great input. We're waiting to see if we get to move to this place, if we do, then the land is actually cheap enough where money will be left over to have a wired house...

OK,
I'm talking with a builder and he says he puts in standard network 5 wire into all his houses. Is this another way of saying ethernet or is it something else?

He was saying in the basement is a hub and each bedroom has a connection.

Do you have any idea if this is ethernet compatible?
