"Blue" is one of the top 5 albums of the rock era, perhaps number one. On that and other albums, Mitchell took rock lyrics to new heights, and introduced a sophistication to the music that could be stunning. In her second best album, "Court and Spark", she manages to create one of the most perfect sides of an album ever heard. In various other songs, like "Circle Game", she achieves an emotional depth that few pop artists could begin to match.....
