Its funny you say that because only a few months before the election Fong was perceived as a shoo-in. I remember on the Maclaughlin group everybody but Eleanor Clift picked Fong as the first asian senator (as if thats some big deal, sheesh). Boxers ads against Fong were not that nasty, at least the ones I saw. Of course they were worse than his, but his side thought he was winning too (which is another huge problem, they are clueless in their polling techniques). But hers just pointed out his votes on guns, abortion and environment, thats all you need to do here. Lets see if they wise up this time around.
