Hello Bill,

been digging today...

1)
Ever read the Digital lawsuit against iNTEL when they came out with their Pentium Pro?

Think about: Is VIA stealing what iNTEL stole from DEC Alpha?

techweb.com

"It gradually became apparent, however, that there were substantial similarities between Pentium Pro and Alpha. We conducted a thorough and rigorous examination of the data and we concluded that Digital patents were being infringed."

2)
AMD Athlon Slot A is not affected by the iNTEL's Slot 1 P6 issues.
eet.com

"AMD's K7 will be mechanically compatible with Slot 1 but will use the Alpha bus. AMD officials have said they would have preferred to use the P6 bus, had they not been prohibited from doing so by previous settlement terms with Intel."

3)
Another thought, why doesn't iNTEL take pAUL's advice?
techstocks.com
Concerning the announcement Micron said CamiNO_GO! and chose the illegal chipset?

"I think a $650 Coppermine sale to Micron will make up for the loss of the $29 chip set sale to VIA."
Hello INTEL Hello!

There is more to this VIA lawsuit than the P6 agreement violations.
hint: K7

Back to the trenches.....

"Who does iNTEl think it is? Apple?
