I know you did not make this up; you sound like Dave Barry! ROFL! I shall pop over to the link a bit later for some hilarious bedtime reading.... However, When was the last time you heard about an underwriter doing due diligence and concluding the company was not ready? I do know of a couple of cases in which this has occurred. It was suicidal for the underwriter as far as the company was concerned, of course.
