Mike: some additions: Knowledge (Document) Management: FileNet & Documentum Although I think we will see a convergence between this and what you refer to as Internet Content Marketing. Documentum has stated they have their competitive sights set on Vignette Internet Content Marketing (I would suggest calling this Internet Content management) Add Interwoven. This company is giving Vignette a run for their money. I bought them after the IPO and holding. Internal Help-desk add Peregrine. Check this company out. They have a very interesting approach to an emerging market called infrastructure management. Automated Marketing (also called Enterprise Database Marketing) add Hyperion

Merlin, were you trying to remember Documentum as an EDMS (electronic Document Mgt) pick? Also, suggest you call Peregrine's category "Infrastructure Resource Management". FOlks should look at Datastream (DSTM) and PSDI in this category as well. Some privately held companies also play well, including AssetWorks and Facility Information Systems.

Mike Buckley: Greatly appreciate your response. I think this will be one of the new "hot sectors" in 2000 and will begin to track a few of these, especially i2Technologies, Ariba, and Peregrine Systems. Thanks.
