One question I have about the placebo/Zicam study... With a pill, there is virtually no way to tell a placebo from medicine short of
chewing the pill. With the nasal spray, I have heard enough people
report a burning sensation or otherwise indicate it felt different
than water or saline spray. My point is, how can the placebo/Zicam
study be unbiased if those who get Zicam know they are not getting
the "sugar pill." I'd be much more impressed if the study was with
Zicam v Zicam w/o zinc. Or was this the case?
