Mike D, On February 29th, 2000 I posted that two people threatened the success of SmartDisk... Mr. USB and Mr. Firewire Message 13001190 Now I read today that the acquision of VST Technologies includes properties related to firewire. The quote I found in Money Magazine (the May edition with Linus Torvald on the cover) states on page 84... "VST Technologies makes drives that incorporate what's called FireWire technoloy, a high-speed connection that transfers files from your IA (Internet Appliance) to an external storage device up to 30 times faster than USB, the current industry standard. The acquisition will double the sales (I assume they mean product revenues here.) of SmartDisk to $100 million and should boost earnings per share by a dime, to 50½." Ausdauer
