I am a bit disconnected from RDRT, but SEG news sounds positive. How well known is this and when did it become public? Seems to me that when/if APM kicks, it will boost RDRT. IOM popped on the same news when Syquest went under. The market has a simplistic view of the head business. Most don't think there are any other suppliers.

RDRT will also be getting some benefit from SDLT when Quantum gets it out. The are qualified to ship cluster heads which have much higher profit and they said a while back that they could be as much as 10% of revenues. This may have changed as Quantum has probably got many more sources today. Anyway, can't hurt.

Regards,

Mark

PS I just realized Hutch is reporting this afternoon. Fingers crossed.

<<The books look awful, but at 3-1/2, it may be a good speculative bet on the DD's>> Speculative play is an understatement! You're referring to a company that has lost share to better competitors in a continually shrinking head supply biz. Are you aware of the significantly reduced component counts in DDs lately? Listen to a few of the DD maker CCs. 6 ad 8 head desktop products are not the norm anymore. This trend is doing nothing but accelerating. Why even dabble in such losing industries? Unless you want to speculate of course.
