Thanks David. Yes, as you said, my system generally gives me a signal before the price breaks in a major way. In fact, I really don't understand the finer points of the "old" style T/A (straight line trends, wedges, flags, pennants, cups and handles, etc.). I pretty much rely on the newer style T/A which is computer driven (M/A, Bollinger bands, Stochastics, RSI, MACD, etc.). My "system" is real simple. Price break outs over a moving average coupled with exit points at known support and resistance points. Typically I am able to get in and out during quiet markets as opposed to fast moving ones.
