Good discussion; I have been impressed with your research with regards to Microsoft's Y2K compliance, or lack thereof. We have previously agreed to disagree, and I respect your opinion and expertise to upgrade your systems. I was only concerned that others might try to duplicate your steps not realizing the risks compared to the potential of Y2K problems.

As a matter of interest, I started with IBM in 1965, wiring 402 and 602 punched card accounting machines. That's when "storage" (80 columns) was really tight. I don't think anybody uses punched cards any more do they?
