El-- I disagree,, I think it wants to go up. It keeps trying. What is keeping it back is the support from the company you spoke of. I had hoped to flush 50% over 22 this year,, not going to happen by the looks of things. Great mkt,, new highs in many issues,,, I guess if my shares were free like those of MC I would not give a sh!t either... He may look on those as "job protection". He may figure they will keep him as he could never pay the grant back,, LOL!!'
And he is probably correct,,,, LOL!

El: The IBM buying COMPAQ at $45 per share - or stock swap rumour - supposedly from Dan Dorfman - has now appeared in Yahoo, AOL, Raging Bull - to mention only three baords I have looked at. I realise that we are all too sophisticated to mention it here. So I won't.

The only "rationale" I've heard so far is that IBM would get back into the PC business as No.1.
