That's right, I'm not a shareholder. I'm an ex-shareholder. It seems you have "the attitude" as well. The DOJ case is a serious case, and Judge Jackson is a serious judge. If you think they're "outrageous," "cow manure," and a "farce and charade" then I suggest you're letting emotion cloud your vision. If you think AOL and Sun are "cry babies" then I think you're deluding yourself; they're serious, successful competitors. I think it is interesting to consider the ironic possibility that the antitrust case against IBM was one of the factors to which Microsoft owes its very existence, but you now consider a similar case as "the only thing that is keeping Microsoft hostage." I still think the DOJ case is not the main problem with this stock. MSFT is known for late, buggy software and an arrogant, bullying attitude. Both detract from its ability to support a huge market capitalization and price/sales ratio. There is also considerable discussion of MSFT accounting and compensation practices and their effect going forward, especially if the stock continues to lag. But that's, as always, JMHO.

Sorry to just drop in here but you guys really need to check out the Jan and April 95 and 100 calls. Even the jan 2001 at 100-105, what have you. I am not a big options guy but if you are a bull and figure they will get this behind them soon, regardless of the initial reaction, you are looking at a triple in the calls if M can break through to 120. I did just get Jan 95's, April 100's and Jan 2001 100's. Strangely, the 2002 are a bit of a stretch, imo. The overhead of the judge is projecting a poor return the next 6 months. We have already had a pretty piss poor 7 months and it's time to move soon. All the best G
