Walter, you disappoint me. Whose side are you on today -- EDIG or MP3's? EDIG's music player will play MP3 files, so people will be able to listen to all the "garage bands" they want with an EDIG-designed player.

Glittering genaralities ...and Grandstanding...like the "Garage Band" comments by Faulk are ridiculous.....

yes there are an exponential amount of small bands getting greater exposure on MP3.Com ...that's part of the new "economics" created by MP3.Com which is the TRUE SPIRIT OF THE INTERNET.. The big guys are scrambling to get on the site as well...
Alanis, Tori, A FOrmer member and founder of the Doors, Tom Green...etc...

It scares them because they are no longer in control of the distribution outlet...

MP3.COm has broken the traditional music distribution model....getting rid of the fat cats and the middle men... all the red tape..the agents...and the B.S....much the way FatBrain.com (w/eMatter)is doing the same for the Publishing Industry (i.e. Books)

Why should we record companies dictate to us who we "should" listen to?

Go to the regional section of MP3.Com and support your local band..it's alot better than the cr@p spewing from your "local radio stations" that play garbage ....

JMHO

Cheers...
