Hi Matt,

16 trips on paper,,uhh, thats about twice as many as I did when starting on paper, real life it's whittled down a lot. to the point where I now look for a real good setup and then still I miss them,,,example today around noon,,,got up for a while and came back to the slide from 72...One thing is that there is allways another one comming...just dunno when,,,

Hal

The guy who I mentioned a couple of days ago as the best trader that I know trades the trend. During times like this week, he would trade the ripples in the direction of the trend. He probably would have made 2 to 4 trades the last four days. He probably would have traded mostly long this week. One day, last spring, as the market was making a bottom and going sideways he had 7 winning trades to the short side for about 4 to 7 pts each.

Best Wishes,

Bob

It does me good, Matt to see someone else experience what I have the last two days. I'm an oex trader, watch the S&P, and the last two days have been just frightful.

Absolutely I make my best money with the trend. I view what I do as trading the trend. I had an OEX signal yesterday at 714.50 which I took, and it went nowhere but down. I had one today at 718.50 and this time I didn't take it. I would have been okay yesterday had I simply held overnight. But I've been burned a lot doing that.

What has me stumped today was that afternoon buy program that went nowhere and I believe there was a sell program that did the same. From the looks of Globex tonight, there is a lot of red. But, anymore I don't put an enormous amount of stock in that either. We have had two mornings of very strong futures trading pre-market and those rallies don't seem to want to hold.

My intraday charts were showing lower highs and lower lows as well.

So my rule book says I'm not required to trade every day. Today I didn't. I watched in amazement. It was a tough day and I congratulate all who were able to trade it.

Good evening all.

Hi Matt,

Yes it's been a tough week for trading the mini. I haven't
done it all week. I've learned not to "force" it.. Although I have been on a "buy". I have mentioned here "rocky flat to up". Maybe it's "Rocky Top" . I don't know.

Anyway I have scalped a few dinners on stocks and got a few riding on the high road.

Here's to you winding up your week with a good trade..
