Personally, if I were in those circumstances, and my body systems were starting to fail, I would be greatful to the doctor if he let me go. We're just passin through anyway. Santiago

Continuing the thought, doctors have made enormous strides in this field of saving a person's life. I see nothing wrong with that though there is something wrong with death by way of carelessness or neglect which may be prevalent at times in certain hospitals.

Richard, My father was sent home with the death angels last year to die in his home. At first I went along with the crazy conversations we were all having and how these people are so kind to keep him comfortable. Then they gave us a sheet describing what he would be experiencing. Since I have some medical background I knew that no two people could die from lung cancer and die the same exact way at the exact time that said they would unless it was being drug induced. My father being an intelligent man I knew took advantage of the ability to leave soon without being a burden on his wife. It hit me like a ton of bricks This is wrong! A Hitler thing in quiet. Let's get rid of the old, the mentally ill, and the terminally ill first. Survival of the fitest is pure junk IMO. We have to work at keeping our hearts from getting cold and end up putting or parents to sleep like a pet. The whole thing made me sick. No Doctors even looked at him in the Hospital, they only came to give him the death sentence. FWIW, Nancy
