Inappropriate language aside. Neither Corel or Newbridge are in a death spiral. With "only" 900 million in the bank Newbridge is FAR from dead. Cowpland and Matthews are two of the only entrepreneurs who have BOTH built multiple successful companies in Candada and you would find few even in the US who have personally done so. Despite the current problems they have between them been directly responsible for the creation of tens of thousands of jobs in their companies and spinoffs. If you live in Ottawa you surely have seen the growth of high tech and recognize their influence in putting the region on the map. A large portion of the high tech wealth in the region is directly a result of Matthews and Cowpland. Where will your kids work?
