Hi Frank,
Just back from doing some DD on Tower Companies. Interesting play for those looking for what is effectively an outsourcing/sale-leaseback play. I did see that JDSU finally bought OCLI (as a retired thin-films engineer my father has loved OCLI for year) and the Williams/Ciena relationship is creating a bit of a stir. But MFNX seems to have some life. Given our earlier discussions on the advantages of providing IP Data services on a propietary net (MFNX vs EXDS) wouldn't the same logic favor a fiber backbone provider (say GBLX or WCG) buying MFNX just to tie it all together. Partially wishful musings (I am long GBLX) but it seems that the race to link end users around the world is on. I guess we should also include wireless in this race give the big moves in fixed wireless and all the interest in WiLAN.
