Re: "That "expectation" is from the same geniuses who claimed CuMine couldn't possible perform on a par with Athlon."

Elmer, the Coppermine has been souped up with every little trick in order to speed it up. Right now, it's the microprocessor equivalent of a Honda civic that's been lowered, tricked out with aftermarket exhaust, suspension, turbocharger, spoilers, darkened window, and low profile tires, but that still get's beaten in performance by a good old BMW 328ci (Athlon).

Of course, since most people don't bother to outfit their Civics with an expensive i840 based motherboard or expensive Rambus, the normal Honda Civic driver doesn't even bother to make noise about competing in performance with a BMW. And just think what happens when that BMW driver decides to go aftermarket to enhance his vehicle!

Kevin
