Mike, I know your opinions in the pc arena are unbiased.<vbg> How can you justify your reference that they are cooking the books when you admit that you don't follow MSFT closely? You may make a case that they are creative with their put warrant program, or, that the ESO program is creating a massive future liability, but their income reporting has been one of the most conservative in the entire tech sector. In fact the SEC investigated them because they were underreporting current revenue and padding the Unearned Revenue account. That is one of the reasons why they adopted SOP 98-9.

As far as having a "bomb shelter", I do not own as many shares as I did last month. <g>

I hear whispers the findings of fact come out today. Cf usvms.gpo.gov when the time comes. As I told the MSFT thread, my bet is the FOF will be surprisingly negative, while penalties, barring settlement, will be surprisingly moderate. We'll see soon. -mb
