I'm actually interested in looking at PPOD on Monday. I think the fears of it going under are highly exaggerated. Money is easier than liquor in this market, and they have that AT&T guy as the CEO.

He didn't join just to watch it go down the tubes. I have to do a little more research but it may be a good trade.

Also, don't scoff Webvan, a look at their prospectus shows they turn inventory at twice the rate of a normal grocer and that is on a lower expense rate. Management knows what they are doing and all they have to do is capture 2% to 3% of the $450B grocery market and they are profitable.

With a war chest of over $500 million in cash, WBVN now has the money to prove its concept works.

And the contrarion in me, says too many people are skeptical of WBVN, meaning I think it could work. As to the valuation, AMZN has a $20+ billion valuation and WBVN would have to go to $80 to get that rich valuation.

And AMZN has no chance of profitability. WBVN does.
