OT dominating a marketplace?
I'm a novice here as far as Gorilla recognition. I have been in the software business for over 30 years though and know of great business after business that couldn't get past microsoft. These include Corel & Borland & IBM. Of that IBM is still strong but there were many other potential royalty (I don't think you could have a Gorilla of software without a monopoly) that are consigned to niches. When there are several companies they have to work via standards bodies, then the company who can develop the best and enforce an open standard (such as Cisco or EMC) become much better and larger because every buyer knows there are checks and balances and that these companies are really the best of the best, and not just the only player in town. This decision will add trillions to the tech stocks over the next decade.
(IMHO) TP
