You know what the problem is there though? The government is going to want some pretty unpalatable concessions, I would guess as much symbolic as monetary. If it were, "just write a check for a gimillion dollars and we'll take it and go away," that would be easy. I'm thinking they want a nice Bill trophy to wave around to show that Uncle Sugar really can bag the bad guys for all of us dolts who are too dumb to protect ourselves from such evil shenanigans <G>

Quad-K, I think you are right that they will settle the case. They don't want something hanging over as a dark cloud for the launch of Windows2000. Furthermore, Windows2k is going to find its way to consumers in a couple of years to compete against Windows98---now that will get complicated!!!
Windows2000 aka Windows NT is no monopoly.
